The differences between Wiltshire's parenting programmes for understanding SEND young people.

Below are some of the important family training offers for supporting young people with additional needs and growing confidence and understanding as a family.
In partnership with the Wiltshire Parent Carer Council (WPCC), our colleagues in Spurgeons also run the Time Out For Parents (TOFP), Children with Additional Needs course. Some parent/carers may benefit from attending Time Out for Parents and then Supporting my Neurodivergent Young Person (SMNYP) However, to allow time to reflect on the information from TOFP and put it into practice we would recommend a period of at least 3 months before applying for SMNYP.
Family and Community Learning also offer a wide range of courses to increase confidence parent/carer confidence with helping children with:
- anxiety and worry
- build concentration and resilience
- prepare positively for change
- early stages of school avoidance
- starting secondary
- and much more
