Managing money

Support and training for learning how to look after your own money.

Managing money can be a worry for anyone. It doesn't need to be complicated.

Managing your money is about 3 things:

  1. how much money you have
  2. how much money you spend
  3. making smart choices about when, how and where to spend your money, so that you're not spending more than you have

How to start

If you are not used to managing your money, you can practise on small amounts, by keeping a record of what money you have and where it comes from. Write down items or bills you spend it on.

Your parents or carers can help you do this.

Why not try practising with your family budget, asking your parents or carer to help you.
