Monday 26th February marked the one-year anniversary of the Get Out, Get Active session in Calne.
12 months ago, 4 participants attended the first session, looking to increase their activity levels and meet new people. Fast forward a year and 28 individuals joined in the fun and enjoyed the inclusive activities on offer!
GOGA is much more than just another activity club. It offers a unique opportunity for disabled and non-disabled people to be active together, targeting some of the least active members of the community and providing opportunities to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle. Sessions take place in a safe facility where people can take part at their own level, without judgement, and most importantly, it creates an environment for new friendships to be formed over a coffee and chat.
The GOGA programme runs throughout the county with sessions taking place in Melksham, Calne, Amesbury, Redlynch, Tidworth, Ludgershall and Chippenham. For more information contact sportsdevelopment@wiltshire.gov.uk (opens new window).
