Courses are five sessions long and held online or in person in venues across Wiltshire. We provide programmes with clear progression pathways that lead to the development of new skills, improved personal achievement, and positive outcomes. Courses can potentially lead to qualifications, volunteering or employment. All our tutors are qualified and experienced in adapting sessions to support, engage and challenge every learner.

We are currently running nine Smart courses:

  • Communication Smart
Communication Smart considers technology and appropriate methods of communication and covers how to complain effectively when necessary.
  • Community Smart
Community Smart explores how to find out what's going on in the community, how to join in, and how to use appropriate forms of travel to support independence.
  • Confidence Smart
Confidence Smart looks at stress management and relaxation techniques, and supports learners to set small, achievable goals to enable success.
  • Eat Smart
Eat Smart delves into hygiene, nutrition, and how to adapt recipes to develop confidence and creativity in cooking.
  • Health Smart
Health Smart examines personal hygiene, good nutrition and exercise, and encourages learners to set goals to improve wellbeing.
  • Home Smart
Home Smart explores how our home can affect our physical and mental wellbeing and looks at cleaning, storing food and what to do when things go wrong.
  • IT Smart
IT Smart covers email, PowerPoint, Teams, search engines and staying safe online, and considers how technology can be used beneficially.
  • Money Smart
Money Smart looks at recognising a bargain, shopping online safely, and how to budget.
  • Online Safety Smart
Online Safety Smart scrutinises key terms, safety features, and privacy settings and considers acceptable behaviours and how to deal with concerns and scams to stay safe online.
